Information about my topic choice for the Oral Presentation.

   "Native American People" is my topic for my Oral Presentation. I choose this topic because my book, The Pearl talks about one of the native American family that life in the forest near gulf. Kino's family have to find some money for the fee that they have to pay to the doctor to heal their child, Coyotito that scorpion stung him.

    So I interested in the culture and lifestyle of these people and I want to know some more information about this culture. I think this is a good opportunity to find some more information about this culture.

Summary :: This magazine topic talks about the person who disturbed people while they were watching television or use electronic stuff and talks about the personal privacy or it's fine for people to do stuff like that.

Personal perspective :: I think the author take it too serious. You should not keep it to be that much big problem because finally, you will be the person that feel the stress not anyone else.

If I were Kino ...

    If I were Kino, I would write my diary about my feeling for my families and friends, And also I would wrote about my interesting and exciting experiences.
    For example, I would write about how's my relationship between me and Juana, my faithful wife. She was so nice and faithful to me. I would talk about how cute was my baby, Coyotito.
    Many experiences that I have been through, They gave me many lessons. People would be blind when they got an evil wish, desire. They can do such a worst thing ever. They try to hurt my baby, my families, even my life. And finally they got it; An evil wish destroy everything and everyone.
    I think Kino will think on the same way as my thought because at the end of the book, Coyotito,his baby was killed by the horrible people that followed his family and him. So he will realize that when people have sensuality make them lose their mind, they can ruin their life by themselves.

  

What's So Bad About Bedbugs?

Summarize : Bedbugs make Americans scared of going out to public places. They are just little that have about 4 mm long. Bedbug hysteria is separate really quickly. They do not carry disease like rats or mosquitos, but they are so scared because they hide in your house or your clothes and they bite you.

Personal Perspective : I would freak out like the woman in this column if I had bedbugs in my house or room. Imagine if they go into your ears or your nose !!! I don't want to think about it ! and they also bite you. So bad !! 

IPad vs. Newspaper, Fly-Swatting Edition

Summary : This news is talking about the application on iPad. It also attached the funny "Newsday" commercial, It's a man enjoying his Newsday app on iPad in the kitchen and he got distracted by a fly so then he swap that fly by his iPad !! The main idea of this commercial is about this app on iPad is better than newspaper all kinds of way except one way. Newsday made this app for reach the costumers that use iPad.


Personal Perspective : I think this is a good way for Newsday to reach people to read their newspaper because nowadays most of the people use iPad or maybe iPhone or maybe iPod touch

 and some of them still want to keep in touch with the world's movement and this way is so easy to do it ! it also good for Apple to make people that doesn't have their product yet buy it !

The Pearl .. !!

The Pearl by John Steinbeck. 

I choose this Novel because I also have to read it in my Humanities 105 class, thus it is like I shoot 1 time and i'll get 2 ducks ! hehehe This book has so many new vocabulary for me. I have to open my dictionary a lot.

The book is about a poor family that they are fine with how they are and they don't want anything else until the scorpion stung  their son, Coyotito. Thus they need doctor, but doctor doesn't come so they have to go to meet doctor by themselves. The doctor is such a bad person. He doesn't help Coyotito at all because Kino and Juanna(Husband & wife) don't have money. Kino is so Angry, but he can't do anything. Then, they have to find something that they can pay to the doctor as money to heal their child. All of them go to the ocean by their boat. Juanna put seaweed on the shoulder of Coyotito and she's singing for Kino. Finally, he found the pearl. The biggest pearl of the world !! That's how the story start.

The story was taking place very long times ago when the medication was low quality and they can used pearl instead of money. By the way, I guess it should be in summer because the story doesn't talk about warm clothes of the weather was cold. Corncake is the only breakfast that they always have for every morning !

WWU student's body showed no signs of trauma !!

 Summary : The searcher team found a dead WWU student's body name's Clark Dwight. The body was found by a man planting eel grass, the body were floating in the log lagoon that owned by Port of Bellingham.
 The police told that he doesn't die because of somebody hurt him. He was alive until September 26, 2010 after the party. His body were in water for 11 days.
 His mother is so sad and thanked for everybody that worried and concerned about her son.


  Personal perspective : I think maybe he were drunk after he left from that party and he were upset with somebody of something and Alcohol makes people lose their consciousness. Maybe it because of this reason that costed him to the deathly. If not , what reason that could be the reason that cost him to the deathly ? and I'm sorry for Dwight's family.
